Studio Policies

The studio schedule runs from August 11th through July 31st. Camps and lessons/classes will continue through July 31st.  

Tuition

Yearly Tuition guarantees that the studio will be teaching 48 weeks.

• a)We love it when you pay in full at the beginning of August! You also have the option of dividing the total into 12 equal monthly payments.
• b)Tuition is due on the first day of every month from August through July. Please pay before the 10th day of the month, so I don’t have to charge a $20 late fee.:)
• c)The 2nd, 3rd and 4th child in a family will receive a 10% discount on the monthly tuition. If you need to leave the studio, please give 4 weeks notice.
• d)To help with your busy schedule, we offer automatic withdrawal, PayPal from our invoices, check or cash payments. PayPal does charge a convenience fee for online payments or automatic withdrawal amounts through My Music Staff.
• e)Check payments should be made out to Donna Truitt. There will be a $45 non-refundable registration fee per student. However, if you do a Google review or a FB page review for the studio, you will receive a $20 credit on your registration fee and we will be very grateful!

Missed Lessons

If a student can’t be at a lesson, a lesson online during their regular time is encouraged. If this isn’t possible, recordings of their pieces and/or assignments should be recorded in the Vivid Practice app for teachers to listen to. We will be happy to send new assignments and instructions so your child can continue to make progress.

If a teacher misses a lesson, one Group Class will be scheduled for all students in the class to attend.

Practice Outside of Class

Regular practice will increase your child’s learning exponentially! Please review your child’s schedule during August and plan a reasonable practice schedule for them. Communicate this to Mrs Donna and we can set reminders in the Vivid Practice app to help you remember their plan and goal. Awards will be given at the end of each month based on your child meeting their personal practice goal. We can adjust their goal up or down as their schedule changes We want every student to feel successful!.

Scheduling Considerations

Everyone has tight schedules and we will do our best to keep everything running smoothly for you. Let us know if you need any help with scheduling.

Nail Care

In order to be able to learn proper technique, nails should be no longer than the tip of the finger.  We want to give your child the best opportunity to improve their skills.

Cell Phones

It’s very helpful for parents to remain attentive during lesson time so children feel that what they are doing in class is as important to you as it is to me! If a parent needs to take a phone call for an urgent reason, please do so outside or in another room. Thank you for understanding the importance of maintaining a distraction free zone. 

Communication, Updates, & Reviews

Watch for texts and emails from the studio. Signs and flyers may be sent home with events and reminders.
